Rough Draft - Any comments appreciated!
Get Healthy And Enjoy Your Life!
We all know diets don't work... there must be a life style change.
  1. Make a clear cut decision to get healthier. (Everything else will follow this!)
  2. Find some reasons why this is SO important! ("I want to see my son graduate from High School", "I want to be at my Daughter wedding", "I don't want to Die!", "I want to feel strong and vibrant!")
  3. Make a simple plan. (If you are the person who figures out the national budget by yourself, A detailed minute by minute plan going out one year may be easy for you, but for the rest of us it is intimidating and a major source of delay in starting ANYTHING that will make us healthy or feel better!)
  4. Make an Immediate Short term goal. (i.e.. I will exercise for 20 minutes Monday, Wednesday and Friday)
  5. Keep making short term goals!!! ("I want to be fit and trim" is great, but how are you going to do that without a plan and a goal for next week?)
  6. Start doing 1 or 2 things first while you start thinking about how to do every thing else.
  7. Exercise!!!  (Without it most people will NOT keep the weight off!)
  8. Lift Weights! (A pound of muscle burns ??45 calories per day, a pound of fat burns ??4 calories per day)
  9. Eat Breakfast!!! (Without, your body will think it is Starving & slow down your metabolism and burn less weight!!!)
  10. Change one meal a day. (Breakfast Monday-Friday is a great start.)
  11. Start to reduce consumption of "Diet Food & Soda". (They create a false sense of eating high fat, high sugar food and DO NOT reduce cravings for these foods over time)
  12. DO NOT GO OUT AND BUY THINGS! (Buying the newest running shoes is not going to help slim the waist!)
  13. TURN OFF THE TV!!! (Men who watch more than 10 hour a week of TV are ??60% more likely to be Obese... Yes Obese, not just Overweight!!!)
  14. Play Board Games(Or Cards) with your kids! (This has been shown to relax stress... Yes stress is a Major cause of your problems!  Relax O.K.!)
  15. Drink Lots of Water. (No not the whole Dessert
  16. Beware: Dried fruits (Raisins and other dried fruits may Increase your sweet cravings because of the intense sugar concentration.
  17. Make sure you NEVER feel hungry! (We all know how bad it can be to go into a grocery store hungry... Imagine that every waking hour you are in that grocery store.)
  18. Reduce your Coffee consumption.
